RA-L

  • 分两步提交，初稿和终稿。 官方的投稿指南
  • 6~8页，可提交附加材料（视频，数据或源码），六个月内反馈录取信息，单盲审稿（稿件无需隐藏个人信息）
  • 审稿人一个月内完成审稿，两周内完成复审

初稿

  • 对初稿的格式要求和最终版不一样，两者没有使用同一套模板
  • 首页内容： When using the IEEE style format, the first (title) page will contain the paper title and each author’s name, affiliation, and full address (mailing address, email address, and fax number), with the corresponding author clearly indicated, the abstract (no more than 200 words), the keywords (index terms), and the beginning of the main text of the paper. Do not use a cover page.
    • 6~8页
    Letters will be six pages long, with at most two extra pages allowed at a charge ($175 per extra page). 
For compatibility reasons, the first submission to the Letters will be formatted as a RAS conference manuscript. The final version of an accepted Letter however will have the same editorial style of other RAS journals.

      Because cross-referenced entries must always appear after any entries that refer to them, it is recommended that the cross-referenced entries be kept in separate (.bib) file(s) so that they can be loaded after the other (.bib) database files:

  • 最终提交中有压缩包大小和图片格式要求，在一开始的时候需要注意及时清理不用的文件以及在使用overleaf协作时上传的图片格式为PDF

多媒体文件

Multimedia Materials RA-L considers also multimedia attachments for material accompanying the submission of a paper. The multimedial materials must be submitted at the same time as the paper. Multimedia materials can include:

  • videos
  • dataset files (e.g., raw data with programs to manipulate them)
  • source code
  • readme and instruction files

  • 视频文件格式

    • The paper should be self-contained, i.e., fully readable and understandable independently from the multimedia material.
    • Videos should be prepared allowing portability under various platforms.
      • Duration: 1-5 minutes
      • Size: less than 50 Mb
      • Structure: Video must describe title, authors and affiliations at the beginning and credits at the end
      • Accompanying voice should be in clear English
      • Format: mpeg, mpg, or mp4
      • Codecs: only standard codecs allowed
      • A video that does not play on a standard platform can be summarily rejected.
    • A “ReadMe.txt” file (in ASCII text format) should accompany the multimedia material describing:
      • Minimum requirements for the user. In particular, provide the version of the software that is required to play/run the submitted files. Include the name of the software, the version number, and any special requirements for the player
      • Contact Information. The author should provide contact information in case users have questions regarding the multimedia material (IEEE will not provide any technical support for this)
    • A “Summary.txt” file (in ASCII text format) succinctly describing the contents, usage and value of all multimedia objects

  • 提交方式： Authors submit their multimedia material as a single zipped archive file (max 50 MB) during paper submission at the RA-L Papercept site ras.papercept.net/journals/ral. Authors of a RA-L submission with Conference option will also be able to separately upload a 10 MB maximum MPEG video.

  • 审稿流程

    • accept（直接收到accept或resubmit之后收到accept），两周内要提交camera-ready version
    • reive and resubmit，需要在30天内提交更新后的版本以及 Author Response and Diff File  This is a single pdf file that includes:  (1) A detailed response to the review that explains how each comment received from the Editors and Reviewers have been resolved in the new version, followed by (2) A version of the paper with changes from the previous version highlighted (e.g., with text in a different color).  - 在论文初次提交后五个月内收到第二次（最终）结果   This final version must also be acommpanied by an Author Response and Diff File as described above.

重新提交Rivse and resubmit

  1. File Upload:
  • PDF Revised Manuscript file: max 5MB;
  • Authors should use the appropriate IEEE style and format. Also for resubmissions, there are the same rules and limits on the maximum number of PDF pages in Letters  format as for new submissions;
  • Multimedia attachment [optional, with the possibility of keeping the previous file if already present]: a single zipped file, max 50MB, including also ReadMe.txt and Summary.txt files;
  • Author’s Response (in a single PDF file, max 2MB), with reply to the Reviewers’ Comments and a Statement of Changes (mandatory).
    • Statement of changes: the Statement of changes gives a list of major changes. You can add one item to say that minor edits are also made to be more concise, for example.

  • 压缩包大小不超过5M
  • 所有图片转换为PDF/PS/EPS/TIFF
    • 转换为PDF能比较好的满足上传压缩包大小限制。可以使用ImageMagick进行转换，方法参考将图片转换为PDF。
